dieting is rough. Anyone that has begun to diet or start a weight loss plan knows this. dieting is a billion dollar industry. Just google weight loss and see how numerous the websites are committed to it. And yet, we have a severe weight complication in this country. Our society has made it very acceptable to stay heavy. Instead of just saying “I want to watch weight,” set a specific challenge. “I want to lose 20 pounds in 90 days.” This is stimulating, practical and attainable. And if you lose more than that, GREAT! It is much better to astoundoneself in a wonderful way than to be disconcerted. If you have more than 20 pounds to lose, then set another 90 day challenge after you have completed the first goal. Achieving your wanted weight loss in baby steps is a really good way to stay inspired to diet.
Next, write down your mission and outline a plan. It is a good idea to take some time on Sundays and plan out your meals for the week. Make your list of ingredients and head to the grocery store. Do not buy anything that is not on your list. It is mercilesser to cheat if you have to leave your house to do it. Then go ahead and make out your exercise plan for the week. Do not say you are going to do more than you really will. It is just as important to make this weekly exercise plan stimulating but attainable. If you can’t run .5 miles on Sunday, don’t write a plan that includes an one mile run on Thursday. You won’t be able to do it and then you will be discouraged with yourself. This is when people just throw the whole thing out the window. Remember, it took longer than 1 month to put the weight on, it is going to take longer than 1 month to get it off.
Once you have your meal plan and exercise plan produced for the week, print it out and put it on the refrigerator. Buy some little star stickers at the dollar store and put one on the chart for each day you follow your plan. This may feel silly at first, but trust me, it helps. It is also a good way to get the whole family involved and supportive of your success. Your spouse may snicker at you in the beginning but when they see you are actually following through this time, they will be impressed and supportive.
If you have a spouse or a friend or two that also has some weight to lose, try to get them to do the dieting program with you. The rate of successfulness skyrockets when you have a pal to back you. There are also loads of dieting programs and work out places that give rewards for referrals. So getting a partner or two may alsominimize your expense.
